'The Doghouse' Dundee

This piece was done in September 08 as part of a commission for a dubstep night called 'Blackbook' at a venue called 'The Doghouse' (recently voted Scotland's number one music venue) in Dundee. The peice (that loosely reads 'blackbook') was painted live during the build up to the main act (Loefah). The artist has also performed live, on stage art during at many other music events- serving to compliment the musical element with an artistic one.

Hastings Seafront

For this wall along the seafront in Hastings, East Sussex, we invited a number of artists to collaborate with the aim of transforming the plain and boring temporary site hoardings of a bar that was undergoing a refurbishment into an attractive and vibrant mural which complimented its surroundings in part of the town where similar refurbishment and renovation work is common-place. One of the artists selected to work on this project was Designer and Illustrator David Adams. More of his work can soon be found here. [http://www.iamdavidadams.com]

Galley Hill

Blakstar.org were commissioned to create two murals, loosely based on the themes of heaven and hell, for this skate park in Bexhill by Rother District Council. Vandals had originally targeted the ramp but after plenty of planning and hard work we were able to transform the facility into an attractive and vibrant place for those who use it.

All preliminary Illustrations by Raves one.

Queens Rd Rec

For this, our first external wall, we were contacted on behalf of Rushmoor Borough Council to create a piece of mural artwork to deter vandals from damaging the walls of this pavilion building. We used similar colours to that of the teams who regularly use the facility and came up with this eye-catching design. As a result of this project, vandalism in the park, particularly on the pavilion walls has been decreased dramatically.
